The Subject who Enunciates from Death. Impossible Models in "Las babas del diablo" ("Blow-up") and "Los nuestros" ("Our Own")

The aim of this study is, on the one hand, to connect the Foucauldian legacy of Judith Butler’s Senses of the Subject (2015) –in which, she develops her theory of the subject, formed before the subject’s very birth, out of a hermeneutics of literary text– and Agamben’s legacy of Foucault. The purpose is undertaking a reading of the virtual literary subject, such as the subject who enunciates from death in Julio Cortázar’s “Las babas del Diablo” (“Blow-Up”) and Los nuestros (Our Own) by Juan Carlos Reche. In order to do this, I will base my argument on recent theoretical proposals about the negativity of literature with an ethical and political focus.
