The Unending End of Latinamericanness: Spanish Editorial Policies and Between-Centuries Narrative

Abstract

This article attempts to analyze and evaluate the dynamics of Spanish American narrative within the context of the globalized culture of our time. Departing from an overview of the policies practiced by Spanish publishers during the last decade of the twentieth century, this article describes and discusses the implications of "the end of Latin Americanness" in the evolution of Spanish American narrative, from the nineties in the last century to the present.
