Evaluation

Articles submitted for possible publication will be selected using the following procedure:

1. Two external reviewers, specialists in applied and theoretical linguistics or in the study of different languages, will be chosen for each article. Without knowing the author’s identity, they will assess whether the article fulfills the requirements and quality criteria, and will submit a reasoned report on the matter.
2. Should one report be positive and the other negative, a third reviewer will be called in.
3. Within approximately two months, the author will be informed as to whether their article has been accepted. This decision will be justified by the reviewers’ reports, which will be sent to the author.
4. Once the layout process is complete, authors will be responsible for proof reading. Texts should be corrected following the guidelines of Lingüística en la Red and must be returned within the time-frame stipulated by the editors of the journal.
