Abstract

After the years of the pandemic and the recovery, the evolution of technology in teaching methodology in these years is also observed in this 32nd issue of our journal Encuentro. When we started out in the early 90's we were almost the only language didactics journal in Spain and technology has brought other sister journals of considerable quality in Extremadura, Madrid or Andalusia among others. Over the years, the journal has moved along two lines: a progressive internationalization and an increasing focus on research into the learning processes of younger students. Perhaps this is due to the fact that the opportunity of free and open publication favors the attraction of young values that seek in Language Didactics a necessary and useful application far from journals with much more complex but scarcely useful topics. These themes are reflected in this annual volume, which has brought us seven valuable surprises in the form of papers with practical application and broad transfer in the form of citizen science, an increasingly relevant aspect of educational research.
