Abstract

Due to the great importance that interaction and socialization have within the communicative approach, especially in immigrant minors in school who arrive in Spain without the command of the language necessary to be able to follow classes normally, the socio-constructivist principles of active methodologies can represent an important optimizing influence to adapt the teaching and learning process to the needs of the current socio-educational context. The objective of this research is to analyze the incidence of active methods in the communicative approach in relation to the four dimensions that make up the study: attitudinal, effective, interactive and linguistic. For this, an experimental design of descriptive and correlational cut has been articulated, based on a quantitative methodology of the pretest-posttest type. The study sample is made up of 27 students who participate in a Language Immersion Program, within the Platform level (A2) according to the CEFR, whose mother tongue is Dariya or Moroccan Arabic. The results obtained reflect that the integration of active methods within the communicative approach in learning Spanish as a second language is significantly more positive than its application through a traditional methodology at the attitudinal, interactive, and effective level and within the work of related linguistic competences. with orality
