“Todos somos chilenos”: Percepción de educadoras sobre la reciente inclusión de familias inmigrantes en la educación inicial

Este estudio exploratorio analizó las percepciones de educadoras de nivel prekínder y kínder en Chile sobre la participación de familias inmigrantes en el contexto escolar, con especial atención a la enseñanza temprana de la lectoescritura. A partir de un diseño mixto, 28 educadoras respondieron una encuesta que indagó (1) cómo conciben y promueven la participación familiar y (2) cómo comprenden el desarrollo de la alfabetización y adaptan su enseñanza a niños y niñas de origen inmigrante. Las participantes trabajan con familias provenientes de más de siete países, principalmente de Venezuela, Haití, y Colombia, reflejando las tendencias migratorias actuales del país. Los análisis (descriptivos, inferenciales y temáticos) revelaron actitudes positivas hacia la diversidad cultural y lingüística, junto con una comprensión limitada de la adquisición de un segundo idioma y el papel de la cultura en los procesos de aprendizaje. Los hallazgos evidencian tensiones, preguntas y supuestos que pueden orientar prácticas más inclusivas y equitativas en la enseñanza de la lectoescritura.
