Las bibliotecas como centros de apoyo para la mujer latina inmigrante en Estados Unidos

El perfil demográfico de Estados Unidos de América está cambiando y podemos observar un aumento en la comunidad latina que vive en este país. Motivadas por diferentes circunstancias, muchas mujeres latinas deciden viajar a EE. UU. Estas mujeres tienen el mismo derecho a la información que cualquier ciudadano nacido aquí, sin embargo, enfrentan diferentes retos como el idioma y el desconocimiento de la estructura gubernamental para gestionar los procesos de residencia. Para esto, las bibliotecas ofrecen servicios de acuerdo con la diversidad poblacional que les rodea y buscan atender estas necesidades. En este artículo, se reseñan algunos proyectos que los bibliotecarios han creado para ayudar a los inmigrantes y también explica cómo la mujer latina puede beneficiarse de los mismos
